Als uw woning bij de bouw reeds is voorzien van een geïntegreerd ventilatiesysteem in plafonds en muren dan heet dit een centraal ventilatiesysteem. In dit geval zijn meerdere aanzuigpunten opgenomen in de plafonds die naar een centrale ventilatiebox leiden op zolder. Als de ventilatiebox op zolder ouder is dan 15 jaar is het nodig de box te vervangen omdat deze verouderde box onnodig veel stroom gebruikt en niet meer optimaal functioneert. De nieuwe, energiezuinige ventilatiebox heeft warmteterugwinning én werkt met vochtsensoren. Als de sensor opmerkt dat een kamer vochtig is, slaat het ventilatiesysteem automatisch aan. Zo zuigt het systeem alleen lucht af wanneer het ook echt nodig is! De installateur sluit de nieuwe box aan op de bestaande kanalen. Voordat de installateur de nieuwe box aansluit, maakt hij eerst de bestaande kanalen goed schoon om voor een goede luchtkwaliteit te zorgen.
